Maggie Bishop settled in the mountains of North Carolina in 1993 with her husband and cat. Every time they travel, they seek out other mountains but none are as exciting as these ancient Appalachians. She's an Air Force brat who put herself through East Carolina University, a former manufacturing executive, founder of High Country Writers and a hiker, swimmer, golfer and skier.
Maggie was selected 1 of 100 Incredible Women by East Carolina University. Her novels have been awarded Book of the Year for romance and mystery from the High Country Writers Organization. Maggie has been a founding member of HCW since 1995.
Maggie’s Appalachian Adventure novels include romances, Appalachian Paradise amd Emeralds in the Snow. Her mystery series features photographer, carpenter and horsewoman Jemma Murder at Blue Falls and Perfect for Framing. The next in the series, One Shot Too Many, is coming in the fall of 2010.
