| Maggie Bishop settled in the mountains of North Carolina
in 1993 with her husband and cat. Every time they travel, they seek out
other mountains but none are as exciting as these ancient Appalachians.
She's an Air Force brat who put herself through East Carolina
University, a former manufacturing executive, founder of High Country
Writers and a hiker, swimmer, golfer and skier.
Maggie is the author of Appalachian Paradise, Emeralds in the Snow, and the first in a new series, Murder at Blue Falls. Watch for her 2nd in the series, Perfect for Framing, coming in the fall of 2008. The cover silhouette of Appalachian Paradise is of Maggie and her husband, Bob Gilman.
Maggie was recently voted 1 of 100 Incredible Women by East Carolina University.
